Chuck Hipple has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, and herbology for over twenty years – fifteen of those years have been spent in the Dilworth area of Charlotte. As a renowned acupuncturist, patients have come from as far away as New York and Dallas in order to receive treatments from him. Acupuncturists from all over the country, and even London, have reached out to him to receive advice; he also mentors acupuncture students and takes interns under his wing to further their understanding of his craft. Both acupuncture schools in the state of North Carolina have asked Chuck to allow their students to observe and learn from him.
After obtaining a Bachelors degree in Business from Georgia State University, Chuck studied at Howard University to meet the Pre-Med course requirements he would need for acupuncture school. Chuck successfully completed a four year Masters degree program at the Traditional Acupuncture Institute in Columbia, Maryland. As part of this training, he studied directly under Professor J.R. Wordley at the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in England.
Chuck specializes in pediatric and gynecological acupuncture. He studied pediatric acupuncture for one year under Julian Scott, a leader in the field; he also studied gynecological acupuncture under Bob Flaws. Chuck has consistently trained with well-known leaders in the acupuncture community to further his expertise, including Jeffrey Yuen, Kiiko Matsumoto LAc, and Mikio Sankey PhD LAc., among many others. Chuck firmly believes that continuing to learn is the key to his successful practice.
